Utility Trailer Manufacturing Company is America’s oldest privately owned, family-operated trailer manufacturer. Founded in 1914, the company designs and manufactures dry freight vans, flatbeds, refrigerated vans, and aerodynamic technologies.


Utility currently operates six trailer manufacturing facilities across North America. Utility’s 3000R® and the 3000R® multi-temp refrigerated trailers are manufactured at the Atkins, Virginia, Clearfield, Utah and Piedras Negras, Mexico plants. The 4000D-X Composite® series dry vans are manufactured at the Glade Spring, Virginia and Paragould, Arkansas plants. The 4000AE®, 4000S®, and 4000AE® Drop Deck flatbeds are all manufactured at the Enterprise, Alabama facility.
Utility is also the exclusive distributor of Cargobull North America TRU products. Utility has an extensive dealer network with nearly 130 locations throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico and South America

Dry Vans
Within the dry van family, there is a strong light weight option engineered for your unique application. The Utility 4000D-X Composite can be custom built with a variety of options to meet your operational requirements.




The 4000D-X Composite 100 begins with ¾” deeper side walls for improved stiffness and increased bulge strength and is ideal for specialized hauls.




The strong light weight 4000D-X Composite TBR is built for heavy duty applications. Its Tall Bottom Rail is 10″ taller and 50% thicker than the standard bottom rail.




The thin-wall 4000D-X Composite dry van features polyurethane foam core composite side walls that optimize strength and deliver a lower tare weight.

FLATBEDS
Proven on a real-world test track, we have a flatbed that will give you unparalleled performance and value. Every Utility flatbed can be custom built with a variety of options to meet your operational requirements.




The 4000AE comes standard with a 47,000 lb coil haul package, yet weighs less than some all-aluminum trailers. It optimizes weight without a sacrifice to strength. Utility 4000AE can also be custom built with a variety of options to meet your operational requirements.




The 4000AE Drop Deck has a 73,000 lb Gross Vehicle Weight Rating, weighs less than some all-aluminum trailers, and is available at a combo-trailer price. Using the same patent-pending crossmember system as the 4000AE combo flatbed, the 4000AE Drop Deck consists of a combination of 3″ and 4″ aluminum crossmembers.




Built to haul heavy or awkward loads, this heavy-duty flatbed is available in all-steel and aluminum/steel combinations. Utility Drop Deck can also be custom built with a variety of options to meet your operational requirements.




Built tough for heavy-duty use, this all-steel flatbed has a Gross Vehicle Weight Rating of 73,000 lb, and as much as a 57,000 lb single coil capacity. Utility 4000S can also be custom built with a variety of options to meet your operational requirements.
